TDTU Architecture Students Participate in Green Summer Design Studio 2025 – Designing Green Facades for Individual Housing in Ho Chi Minh City

On the afternoon of July 13, 2025, at Van Lang University (VLU), the Closing Ceremony of the Green Summer Design Studio 2025 took place in a formal and inspiring atmosphere. With the theme “Designing Green Facades for Individual Housing in Ho Chi Minh City”, the program continued to affirm its pioneering role in promoting green architecture trends, while fostering connections among students, lecturers, and professionals on the journey toward sustainable urban development.

Building on the success of previous editions (2022 at TDTU, 2023 at VGU, and 2024 at VLU), this year’s workshop brought together 140 students from 8 universities, both domestic and international, organized into 10 design teams working under the guidance of lecturers, architects, and leading experts. In addition to a diverse range of academic and practical activities, the program also received strong support from reputable sponsors such as FICO, Vicostone, and An Cuong, along with experts from Inha University, Hanyang University, the University of Liverpool (China), and various academic partners.

More than just a professional platform, the Green Summer Design Studio 2025 also served as a source of inspiration and a space to reinforce the social responsibility of young architects, contributing to the transformation of urban environments toward green – smart – sustainable development. Having participated since the early editions, the Architecture Program, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Ton Duc Thang University continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to education, research, and architectural practice closely linked to real-world and community issues.

Within the framework of this year’s workshop, the delegation from Ton Duc Thang University made a remarkable impression through their serious, creative, and professional working spirit. Notably, a student team guided by TDTU lecturers won First Prize, with a green facade design proposal highly appreciated for its practicality, environmental performance, and aesthetic value. This achievement is not only a source of pride for TDTU students but also a clear testament to the program’s educational orientation, which emphasizes the integration of academic knowledge and practical application.
