SEMINAR ON “APPLICATION OF AI IN CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT”

On the morning of October 4, 2025, the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Ton Đuc Thang University, organized the seminar "Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Construction Management" at the Tân Hưng Campus.

The Keynote Speaker for the seminar was Mr. Nguyen Đuc Tuan, M.Sc. – Founder & CEO of PMC Construction Management Training Center. He commenced his presentation by introducing the core challenges the construction management industry must definitively address, including budget overruns, schedule delays, poor quality control, and occupational safety risks. Subsequently, the presentation delved into specialized topics related to AI, such as: the legal basis and current application trends of AI in construction management; the prevalence and supportive role of GenAI (Generative Artificial Intelligence) in the field of construction management. Furthermore, practical applications of AI Chatbots in managing project costs, schedules, and safety were highlighted. Finally, Mr. Nguyễn Đức Tuấn shared practical experiences in Project Management (PM) and presented case studies on the application of AI in Construction Management.

In addition to the lecturers and students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, the seminar garnered significant interest and attendance from many external engineers. At the event, Mr. Trần Bá Thanh, Project Director at CapitaLand, also shared insights regarding the practical application of AI in current construction projects.
