Faculty of Civil Engineering welcomes the delegation fromLeipzig University of Applied Sciences (HTWK) and signs MOU on March 20, 2025.
On March 20, 2025, the Architecture Department of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Ton Duc Thang University welcomed a delegation from the Faculty of Architecture and Society at Leipzig University of Applied Sciences (HTWK), Germany. This event continues to strengthen the cooperation between the two universities in general and the two faculties in particular in training and research. The two sides renewed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and the Student Exchange Agreement for the period 2025-2030, opening up many opportunities for academic exchange, cultural exchange, training cooperation, and research collaboration between the two institutions.
The HTWK delegation was led by Professor Marina Stankovic, an architect and a reputable scholar with extensive international experience. Professor Stankovic was trained at the University of Toronto and was a Loeb Fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She currently serves as the Head of the Department of Architecture, Interior Design, and Product Design at HTWK Leipzig. Her research on the impact of digitalization in designing educational buildings not only contributes to enhancing research quality but also creates practical and innovative design solutions. Accompanying her was Ms. Silke Mühl, the Head of the International Office and the Erasmus+ program coordinator at HTWK Leipzig, who has played a significant role in promoting international cooperation relationships.
The event was an excellent opportunity for both sides to exchange, share experiences, knowledge, and develop cooperation. This event affirms the Faculty’s commitment to academic quality and opens up many new development directions in student exchange and collaborative research in education, helping to bring creative perspectives and sustainable design solutions that are in line with development trends. It also creates opportunities for students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Ton Duc Thang University to interact and study in a highly internationalized environment, as well as opportunities for students to receive short-term study scholarships at HTWK Leipzig through the Erasmus+ program
