Professors and students from the University Sains Malaysia (USM) on their visit and study tour at TDTU on May 9th and 10th, 2024.

 In the excitement of the upcoming summer season, the phoenix flowers are blossoming as the Faculty of Civil Engineering joyfully welcomes esteemed professors and students from the University Sains Malaysia (USM) on their visit and study tour at TDTU on May 9th and 10th, 2024.

On the morning of May 9th, representing TDTU, Dr. Tran Minh Tung and the lecturers of the Faculty of Civil Engineering warmly welcome the USM delegation. Leading the USM delegation were Dr. Izyan yahaya, Professor Mastura Jaafar Alongside them were 43 students majoring in Quantity Surveying in Construction.

Following warm greetings, both sides exchanged introductions about TDTU and USM, regarding education, as well as collaborative policies and research, culminating in the signing of a memorandum of understanding.

In this spirited atmosphere, students from both universities engaged in team-building activities, cultural exchanges, and embraced endearing smiles from different cultural backgrounds, while enjoying Vietnamese cuisine during a friendly meal.

On the afternoon of May 9th, Dr. Pham Hai Chien gave an attractive presentation on the topic of Estimation Methods in Construction in Vietnam, which sparked dynamic participation and numerous thought-provoking questions from USM students, intensifying the atmosphere of discussion. Subsequently, groups engaged in discussions on the differences in estimation methods between Malaysia and Vietnam.

On the morning of May 10th, under the guidance of Dr. Izyan yahaya, Professor Mastura Jaafar (USM), student groups had creative and attractive presentations on the topics discussed in the last afternoon.

In the afternoon of May 10th, the USM delegation visited the production technology and construction techniques of gypsum boards at the KNAUF factory (Hiệp Phước Industrial Park, Nha Be, Ho Chi Minh City) under the guidance of Dr. Hoang Thong. Particularly, the factory provided an immersive experience for students, eliciting excitement and laughter.

Ending the TDTU tour, leaving behind beautiful memories and promising future collaborations between TDTU and USM.
