Green summer design studio 2022: Co-housing toward Green building standards
The Green summer design studio 2022 with the theme of Collaborative housing (Co-housing) toward Green building standards which was first held in Ho Chi Minh City from July 9 to 17, 2022 was a great success. The contest is organized by Architecture Magazine - Vietnam Association of Architects and universities with architecture courses. (Ton Duc Thang University, University of Science and Technology - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Duc University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Development, Thu Dau Mot University, and Van Lang University). The program attracted the participation of 125 students and 20 lecturers from universities, and many businesses in the fields of architecture, construction, materials, and real estate. It has created a valuable, new and experiential playground for architecture students and young architects through the task of designing co-housing toward green building standards for students in Ho Chi Minh city. The organizers chose the actual context of Dormitory A, Ho Chi Minh City National University.
There are 21 students majoring in Architecture and 3 lecturers and architects sent from Ton Duc Thang University to attend. Architecture students had the opportunity to directly discuss with consultants and designers, contributing to improving their understanding of Green Building & Architecture; In the meantime, expanding the cooperation relationship between the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architect training units across the country.
