Creative Engineering 2022

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Ton Duc Thang University, on September the 10th 2022, the Creative Zone Club (CZC) held the Creative Engineering contest with nine teams.

During the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof Dr. Do Nguyen Van Vuong – Head of Basic department - Faculty of Civil Engineering highly appreciated the organization process and enthusiasm of CZC; and encouraged the club to make more academic activities that can spread the research atmosphere to not only students from TDTU but also from other schools. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Ha, director of Hiep Phuoc Crushing Station, FiCO CORPORATION - JSC (sponsor of the contest) also gave the opening speech applauding the practicality and meaning of the event for the training activities of the faculty.

After 2 hours of constructing the tower and many rounds of load testing, the organization board have identified the top 3 teams and 2 consolation prizes with the highest point of idea and loading rate :

1. “T5” - First Prize

2. “Five of a kind” - Second Prize

3. “Elite fuhos” - Third Prize

4. “Never give up” - Consolation Prize (Highest point of idea)

5. “Non – collapse tower” - Consolation Prize (Highest point of loading rate)

Creative Engineering is not just a competition to build a tower model but also an opportunity for students to build good working relationship and good vibe for future civil career. This year contest will be a premise for the CZC to expand its scale in the scope of competition among students from other schools in the following years.
