Wellcoming group of students and lecturers from Blekinge Teknis Hogskola University (BTH – Sweden)

On Sunday afternoon, 15th November, lecturers and students from Departments of Architecture and Departments of Urban Planning and Environment, from Faculty of Civil Engineering, Ton Duc Thang University, welcomed a group of lecturers and students from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola University, Sweden enthusiastically and emotionally.

BTH University group and Ton Duc Thang University group
The BTH University group included three professors working on Urban Planning - Transports and 18 students who are pursuing the master degree in Urban Planning. They came to Vietnam because of a research on the transport and urban in Ho Chi Minh city.
On 16th November, the Faculty of Civil Engineering held the first friendly meeting at Room B001. There were also delegates from International Cooperation, Research & Training Institute (INCRETI) and other institutes.
Firstly, Delegate from INCRETI introduced about TDT University - the development, milestones and high educational quality appreciated by international associations in education.
Secondly, Faculty of Civil Engineering leader had a welcome speech and gave the information about the faculty, especially about Departments of Architecture and Departments of Urban Planning. Two departments has developed strongly with many achievements in educating, researching and has also held many cooperation events from national to international. They also listed works that had to be done during the time BTH University being in Viet Nam.
Dr. Trinh Tu Anh (Head of Urban Planning and Environment Department) was presenting information about the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
In the afternoon, BTH Students and Architecture - Urban Planning students discussed and began to figure out the research tasks in Ho Chi Minh city.

According to the schedule, on the next day (Tuesday, 17th November), the BTH group under TDT students’ instruction will visit to Phu My Hung Residence in District 7 – a sample urban style of Ho Chi Minh city. It will be the beginning of the workshop.
